All in all, it looks like a good chip. I don't know any one or have talked to any one who has one so I don't really know alot about them.
I installed one last week on a v1.1 xbox and i've gotta say i'm really impressed.
Absolutly NO problem at all with the pogo pins.......(I tried for 2 hours to try and get a matrix installed without soldering the holes) ..popped in the xbit and worked first time.
Give it a try! (the bios selector looks really nice on the back of the console)

had 1 installed last week on v1.0 box.
sold my other v 1.0 box which had executer v.1 in it, coz it was none flashable chip.
X-BIT not cheap, but in my opinion , worth every penny.
on other forums , people seems to have a small problem with the software for flashing the BIOS via the USB .
dont know if its been sorted yet, but Team DMS dont seem too helpful , from what im reading ( thats only from what people post ).
no problems from me or my m8's with this chip..
u can even switch to a different BIOS's stored on the 2 mb chip
upto 6 configurations.
coz its a new chip, like any other chip. only time will tell how reliable it is.
been 100% for me upto now..:)
The problem with the software is talked about on their website.
It's to do with only a selection of people using windows xp...Although I use xp and it worked fine for me!
They said they're looking into it and should be resolved soon.
