Hi guys,
Has anyone had any experience or heard anything of the F.14 modchip?

I've got feeling charlie_ps2 knows about it but he's a busy man so gonna leave him to it!

Is it a clone of magic 3.1?

Here's a link http://www.divineo.co.uk/cgi-bin/div-uk/ps2-f14

I personally would like to hear other peoples reply on this too. I know that ol Chuck will probably give his "biased" opinion on it but others may give a different view of it.

It isn't supposed to be that bad. I believe it only supports PAL consoles though. It only requires 14 wires to install. The Playstation 2 screen is removed for faster booting.

Really!? That sounds pretty cool other than the PAL only thing. Are they working on a NTSC version?

Man I really like the no PLAYSTATION 2 screen thing.

From their webiste:

The first F.14 Release will be PAL only as we have concentrated on this one region. However we do have an NTSC version currently with 16 wires. As soon as this is reduced it will be incorporated into the F.14 project.

What's next ?

We're currently working on including full NTSC support in to the F.14 architecture. It currently stands at 16 wires but we know what to do there. Also Multiregion DVD and more will be addressed in only 2 more wires. We can go much less than 14 wires. We know how to do it and what is required to achieve this. All we need is time and patience and a little skill from our dedicated team of engineers to solve the issue - then who knows what can be accomplished ?

I was considering stocking some of those Duo chips. Does any one know where I can find a good review of it.
