Anyone know of a program that locates media files on your pc and plays em over the local network?

yah, it's very popular. I'm actually surprised you hav enot heard of it yet. It's called Xbox Media Player (xbmp). It also supports shoutcast (ussually what winamp plays) and the ability to record from it. U need a modchip or the softmod exploit to use it (and it is free).

Ok I'm having a little bit of trouble witht he media player. I can load media off of cd iso dvd iso but not the network or shoutcast.

Everytime i try to browse em it will just pause and go to a blank screen. I looked for any ini files that might need some editing but didnt find any.

open the config.xml file. There is a music section that should look like this (with possible different paths).

Im pretty sure it's a program that is used with xbmp to make it easier to stream music. Im not sure because I have not used it myself though.
