Well I've selfbooted Re-Volt, Sega GT and Air Force Delta without any CDDA tracks haven't had any problems.

hey,
did you use the echelon selfboot method to boot it? and did you have to hex anything in the *bins? i'm having trouble selfbooting fire prowrestling d. any help?

I used the Echelon method without hex editing any bins. As for Pro Wrestling I don't know. Don't have it.

FPD has two releases. The only perfectly working is the Echelonīs one.

i have the echelon release. the iso read, "fpd_ech" when i isobusted it. i guess i have to use trial and error to get it to boot. thanks.

I've selfbooted it and it works perfectly.
Did you binhack every bin files containing 'CD001' string ?
Do you have a PAL DC ?

i have a us/ntsc dc.

i binhacked the 4 *.bin files, 1st_read,bin, 2_dp.bin, maigo and sg_dplder.bin.

but it seems as if the 1st_read.bin has 2 instances of "cd001". binhack only changes the first instance. do i manually have to change the 2nd instance in hex workshop?

thanks.

i made a test cd. i cdirip/isofix isobuster the cdi. it has 46 audio tracks. the data track is track 47 at lba 276451.

i did a search for bins containing cd001. only the 4 main .bins were shown. i binhacked those to 11702. proceeded to make a selfboot cd using echelons method and then put it in my dc. it froze at the sega screen. i mean it really froze. i opened the lid after a while and it did not even go back to the dashboard.

do i have to burn it a certain way? i read cdda games need 3 dummy tracks or something. do i have to burn 2 extra audio tracks?? someone please reply, thanks.

You need only two little extra tracks. 690 kb files are ok. The real CDDA tracks starts from the third one.

ah, no wonder. i only burned the audio.raw then the data track.

so i have to burn the audio.raw twice, -msinfo, binhack, mkiso, ipins, then burn it? and it should finally boot up? i'll give it a go. thanks.

i made another disc. i burned 3 audio.eav tracks in the first session like so,

cdrecord -dev=1,1,0 -multi -audio -pad audio.wav audio.wav audio.wav

msinfo, 0,12606

binhacked 4 .bins

mkisofs 0,12606

ipins

burned the cd, still froze at the sega screen.

what am i doing wrong?
i'm gonna burn another disc, but with 4 audio.wav tracks.
