problem with dvd+r's

Is anyone else having problems getting the xbox to boot up dvd+r's? I'm not using cheap media either (using Memorex) and i'm burning at 1X. For some reason my xbox doesn't like to read them. It reads dvd+rw's ok but not dvd+r's. I find this odd because logically it should be the other way around you'd think. Should i be using dvd-r's?

i believe the xbox can only (or prefers to) read only dvd-rs, and dvd+rws
