The easiest way to "disable" the recording in Windows XP is open windows explorer, go to your writer, right-click on it and click on properties, then click the tab that says "recording" and make sure the box that says "Enable CD Recording on this drive" is NOT checked........
Although this may not solve your problem. (Mine IS checked and it still works with no problems....)
Do you have the latest ASPI drivers installed?
Does it give you any error messages before, during, or after recording?
Are you using a "cracked" version of Clone CD? (This will also cause the problem you descibe on some machines)

Now that you figured out what was wrong, you need to BUY CLONE CD!
Obviously, you like/need the program....
So do the right thing and BUY IT!
