You could start by looking through the Backup Procedures Sticky (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43792) at the top of this sub-forum, then post back with any further questions :)

Yes you can... sort of. You can copy CD games (blue bottomed discs). You can rip DVD games with a DVD-ROM driv minimum but this is not recommended. Instead, geta cheap DVD-RW like a Cendyne 105 or 104. These are OEM versions of the more expensive Pioneer drives - just as good but a lot cheaper - the same drive but without the name. So, if you don't have much money, go for one of these.

104 and A04 = Same thing
105 and A05 = Same thing
106 and A06 = Same thing

The 10* come with just the burner and no software. The A0* includes software, which is why they cost more. Any of the Pioneers is best. The 104/A04 is outdated and hard to find. I would buy a 105/A05. The 106/A06 costs much more as it can record to both -r and +r. You don't need that.
