Does anyone where I can get a new DVD,and how hard is it to change laser?I'm not sure if it's the drive motor or the laser.

aint hard at all, just need to take the old one out and plug the new one in...if you contact me via email (should be able to get it through my profile) i have a spare one

If you have a thompson drive, you can get replacement motors and lasers here (http://www.gameconsolerepair.com/xboxparts.html).

like ... ouch ..

$14us for an IDE cable i can get for $2.50cdn

I`d buy a new Xbox before i spent $90us on just a Laser, specially when you can buy a complete xbox working for @ $100us or so.

Still, the link is worth the mention.
