Complete n00b here...

Ok i'm a completely new to modding and I need some help.
I wanted to buy The Matrix but I wasnt sure if that was all you needed, so I started looking around. I found out that you need to get stuff like EvoX and boXplorer. Well, I started downloading some of these things and now I'm starting to get a bunch of stuff confused. I dont want to buy The Matrix until I get all of this stuff ready. I went ahead and deleted everything I had downloaded, because I had gotten so confused. Could someone give me a list of EVERY SINGLE THING I need to do this AND what you use the programs for?
All I'm wanting to do is use The Matrix to copy games to my hard drive. NOTHING else. What files are best to use with the Matrix? I saw something on the EvoX forums about the newest EvoX version messing up if you were using The Matrix (Again, I'm a n00b so i coulda read it wrong!)

Anywayz.... I'm just asking for Everything (in detail) that I need/need to do to get The Matrix up and running so I could copy games to my HD!

I know this is kind of a lot of work for someone to do for a person they dont even know, but I would gratefully appreciate it!

Okay so you all ready know what chip you wanta, good. Now your going to want to flash the chip with the X2 4976.02 BIOS. Don’t worry about any thing, just get it.

Next will you need EvoX. This is the software that will allow you to FTP into your XBox and also allow you to other programs with ease.

FTP software, I use WS_FTP. A lot of people prefer Flash FTP. You can even use DOS if you want to.

You will also need a NIC (Network Interface Card) in your PC and a crossover or two strights in use with a Hub, Switch, or a Router so you can FTP into your XBox.
