I live in Canada Ontario(Windsor). Im looking to buy a Pioneer A04 or A05 or a CenDyne 105 depending on price differences. Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy a dvd burner would be from? And could anyone give me estimated prices on these dvd burners in canadian funds please.
Thanks!
Check future shop, www.futureshop.ca it's in canadian currency.

Yeah I did, but the Pioneer a05 is like 450 with Tax. A lil too pricey for me, and they dont stock the a04 or cendyne. How much are they in american i can do the currency conversion my self. Whats the cheaptes american prices for the burners?
You can get a Cendyne 105 for about $200 US on ebay.

Know of any online stores? In canada preferably but if not US is fine. (not internatinal please).
I have called all my local computer supliers and they cant get me a cendyne 105 or a pioneer a04 and they ask way too much for an a05. So if you know any CHEAP online stores, or stores in general in US or Canada please list them.
Someone else posted this earlier, might help you.

yea that was me who posted that. Bare means that it doesnt come in a box and just comes with the drive and the Software. It may come with Cables or it might not. Basically theres no difference. and im gonna grab that
Be VERY cautious when purchasing a OEM drive (aka 105)...
ASK as many questions as possible such as:
Will the place you are purchasing it from take care of ANY warranty issues...???
(If they say YES, get it in writing)
There have been QUITE a few upset people that are stuck with a bare drive that doesn't work and the manufacturer will not warranty the item...
Just a word of warning....

so 105 is just the oem of a05? So no difference?
How much cheaper is an oem compared to not? Should I e-mail them about warranty and the such.
Yes.... The 105 is the EXACT same drive as the A05.....
Price just depends on where you buy it from....
I would definately ask them about the warranty and the procedures to claim the warranty if its necessary......

I have bought OEM COmputer hardware before and i returned something once and it was no problem
Then if you are comfortable with it..... Go for it......
As long as you are fine and trust the people you deal with then you should be fine.....
Let us know how everything turns out....

Just briefly checked for the best prices. You can get an A05 for $209 and a 105 for $168. It is amazing what you can find if you just try looking.

Ok so I was going to order the 105 for 167 from that Avlogic place that someone posted earlier in this topic, problem is they dont to international orders (I live in canada funny ive never heard of us being called international before as there is no sea between us....). Any hoo i went to pricewatch and typed in Pioneer a05 and found a website called galacy3000 and a few other sites now problem is NONE of them ship to canada!! Now I have a friend who works in the states who could recive the package for me problem is his address is a PoBox and they dont ship to those either.
Does anyone know of a website where i can get a Pioneer 105 cheap that ships to canada?
