I'm new at this but have read so much onthe topic that I just may be a bit loopy. However, here is my dilemma...

About half of the .cdi files I've tried to burn do not work. With or without boot disk. I've burned them all the same way using DiscJuggler 3.5, but for some reason... some just don't work.

I've read about patches, dummy files, bins, self boot, but I've yet to find anything conclusive on this matter. Has anyone encountered this situation before? I would like to know what I'm doing wrong, or things that I could try to learn more about this process, and reduce the number of coasters I'm making these days.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different brand of cd-r's I started about a week ago and I have never had a bad burn except for two cd's and when I tried burning them on dfferent cdr's they worked perfect.

Yeah - me too. However, all my nero images bar one work perfect - it's only DJ that gives me grief. See 'Another Newbie Q'. When I put in a disc burnt with DJ, the DC thinks it's an audio CD, and the boot disk won't load it. I'm using the same brand of CD with both images....
