View Full Version : Please help a newbie in aid of charity!
Please can anyone help me, I am organising a charity show which is next week. I need to back up several cd singles on to one cd for the show. My problem is that on a couple of the singles (i.e Kylie, can't get you out of my head) I can't find the tracks. The cd's will play like normal in the cd player, but when i put it in my computer it auto runs with a graphical interface so you can watch the video whilst listening to the song!! When I explore the cd I can't find track1, track2 and track3 which I know is there somewhere. What I can find is the movie file but this is no good for what I want. I am running out of time and would be very grateful if anyone can help.
Thanks
Gray

You are meeting with the new audio cd protections....cause this not to be played on computers cd-r or cd-rom.This is a really f***ing thing and the only way you have to burn this is playing it on sound equipment and recording it in closed circuit connecting your audio card with your hi-fi.For now i don't know if any program is available for ignore the cd toc when reading audio cds.
Thanks for that morglum007.
It sound's like I've had it. At least I know it wasn't something stupid that I was doing!!

Hello there,
You could try using MusicMatch to MP3 the files. I have done thgis with Kylie - Can't Get You Out Of My Head. It found the tracks ok & let me convert them.
Then, use Nero or Easy CD Cdreator to burn them back to a cd.
Hope it helps.
