If u having trouble getting a motherboard sometimes the price of a second hand PS2 can be comparable. Just make sure it's a version 5,6,7,8!!

you can do a store swap and swap the ps2s out.:D

Yeah, this a bit immoral but get a ps2 from a shop that has good refund/replacement policy, do the hairdryer method on the guarantee sticker, swap it onto gash PS2 and return it as faulty and get money back.
