I have Xenosaga on DVD9 on my magic chip it only seems to boot 1 out of 10 times if I'm lucky. I have seen others with new v7 with magic that have the same problem. Is this a problem with the chip or does the laser azimuth or power need a little problem? My brothers v1 with messiah 2 had the same problem but now boots 100% after a small laser adjustment.

Which magic chip do you have? The 3.1 should boot about 8/10 times. You must have the original magic 3 which doesnt boot DVD9 well at all. More info please.

Read his sig and you will see he has a 3.5, aka 3.0 which suck for dvd9 games.

Correction dragon boy...

Magic 3 or 3.x sucks for every game original ps1, ps2, cdr, dvdr or dvd movie wich need some resets in order to boot.

My friend who is my chip installer bought 15 (More than $300) of these chips and ppl are complaining about the performance. He is freaking out cause he must either try to fix the problem or return the money ($100 for chip and instalation).

Im getting Magic 2 v7 again when someone answer the question that if they run dvd9 originals and bkp (Hong Kong pressed)...

Even Neokey (USBmod) worked better than this piece of junk.

*Ppl thinking about what mod to buy be careful*

I know magic chips suck, which is why I don't have one or recommend them to anyone. You are the one who should change your signature. You praise your magic chip then bash it in your posts.

I am chill. That last post does kinda sound like I am mad, which I am not. If you made a signature in the first place, you should know how to change it. Click on the user cp button at the top of the page, then chose edit profile. Easy as that.
