Multi-CD games not liking next CD's

I've burned quite a few of my games and played them through testing them, but one problem I've come across in a few of them is that when it asks to put in Disc 2, I put the disc in and it says:

error incorrect disc
please insert the correct disc

yet I can put in the scond disc and it starts up but unless the game asks me to save JUST prior to putting the next Disc in to the point where I can restore from that save on Disc two and still continue I'm stuck on the first Disc. Is there a way to put the disc in that it wil pick it up? do I need to re-burn the CD's? Like I say they'll start up and play the game fine IF I have a save on whatever disc I have in.

sounds like you do not have a mod. if you dont here is something that may work. after it tells you to put in disk 2 put in an origenal of any game then find something to hold the lid senser down the disk will start spining slow then faster when it starts to faster take out the origenal and put in the back up. let me know if this works.

I do have a mod chip so I can't explain the above problem but your trick worked anyway thanks!

well as long as you can load the cds. do you have a plug in mod?

nope, it's internal, but I think it's not one of the newest models of mod chips would that have anything to do with it? or maybe the wires are in the wrong places or not soldered in well enough?? I don't know, but it plays burned games that without a mod chip it wouldn't, it just doens't like changing CD's without a boot sector on them

another strange thing it does but it's not a problem is I have to use the power button for burned games, the reset button won't work, and for NON-burned games I have to start it up and it will always say please put in a Playstation game as if the non-burned game is a burned game, but if at this point I hit the reset button the non-burned game will run fine. even the protected ones!

hmmm... strange. maybe it just does not work with muti cd games

Sounds like you have a Stealth Mod chip--I had one and got the same problem with multi-CD games. The reason is that the mod chip only turns on for long enough to boot the game, then it turns off. That's why your PSX won't read the second disc without powering down and up again, and why reset doesn't work either; the stealth chip is turned off. Eventually they changed the design so you could install it in either stealth or non-stealth mode, but the early ones could only be installed as stealth. So you can buy a new chip, or do the swap trick with multi-CD games.

i've got the same pb of you when i insert the 2 disc, there is a error of the disc. So i will try the trick of snake 2 to change with another game and imput the good burning game but i heard that the mode chip is for not doing that but i don't know how it works? If somebody can explain me how using the mode chip i'll be happy;)
