Can anyone refer someone to me that can do my mod chip installation on My PS2. I have an orginaly PS2 either V1 or V2 not sure. But i have a Magic 3.6 that I want to install.
Can anyone refer someone in Central NJ or refer someone I can ship it to to get it done?
Thanks

Send it to Bill in Chicago. Go to www.freedomlives.com for prices and instructions. I had my messiah 2 installed by him and many other people in this forum have had their consoles modded by Bill. Great turn around time too, waited only one week to get my ps2 back!!! Bill's great!

I wouldn't waste your time OR money installing a chip in a V1 or V2......
Your best bet would be to go out and get a new PS2, then have the chip installed....
The V1 & V2 lasers were crap... If you have the machine chipped, you will most likely be back on this forum asking, why it wont boot dvd games and numerous other problems.....
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Oops...I didn't see that the ps2 was a version 1 or 2. I agree with Bg you really do need a new ps2. The laser in the old version won't be strong enough to read your backups with any success.
And Yes Platinum it was one week...Sent it out Friday...He chipped it the day that he recieved it and he sent it back the following day....Got it back the following friday. Sorry if this seemed so hard to beleive....Bill is that good. :)
Does anyone else have difficulty getting the link to work? I get page cannot be displayed errors.

Don't know of any in NJ but I can tell you that www.gamegizmo.com where I bougt my Magic 3 offers that serivice you just have to ship it out to them. Also www.chipzone.com offers that service too. Both companies are very reputable.
Let me know what you do. Hey also I'm in the process of installing the chip in my self. I'm an experienced solderer and in electronics but can't find any diagrams for my Version 2 PS2. Any ideas? Maybe you have this version?
thanks and good luck...

thanks and good luck... What if lazer was changed in V-1 Machine ? I just replaced a lazer in mine and was in the process of sending it out to (Bill)
Not sure what you are asking about, but if you are worried that Bill won't be able to mod it, don't worry, Bill is awesome. He can do anything.:D

I'm leaning towards Messiah Pro 2
If a brand new laser was put in, then you should be fine. You are leaning the right way by going with the Messiah 2. Now lean even further and get one.:p
