v5/6 pnp no sloder wont boot dvd-rs

yes i just got my no sloder ver 5/6 and i got dvd-r copies of vice city and grandia 2 on retik drak pruple dvd-r's and i got a gs2 ver 2 and i put the gs in and i get to main screen and then i change it with DMC then i open tray and take out DMC then leave it open about 15 secs. then close tray then goto code list and change a code then i start with codes then when it says updateing code list i hold eject. light flashes green and orng i put the dvd-r in and the cd tray closes then it just freezes on updateing code list i try both ways and it just freezes aftr u start with out codes or updateing list and body know what im doning wrong i used primo dvd to copy the games makeing global image files and tobisha dvd burner a rep of the a04 so any one know whats going on

i tryed every way possibale to boot dvd-rs it just wont boot just freezez so i decided to try a ps1 game that i know works a cdr copie i used it with my ps1 and it dose not even load says there no ps disk on the RED screenRED so im going to try to get a new one from the place i bought it from and if that dont work i will just buy a messiah2 or magic 3.1 and have bill install it at freedomlives.com

your profile only shows as a version 5 machine and a version 7 so i'm not sure which you put the no solder in.

if it's in the version 7 then stop straight away because you can only use swap magic 2 discs in version 7 machines. Sony encorporated some fancy technology that can tell a double swap has been made on these machines.

if it's in the version 5 then look to see which version action replay 2 you have (look on the inside rim of the cd) and report back. A lot of the newer ones you buy in the shop (In dvd cases) cannot be used for playin backups anymore.

and i got a gameshark2 ver 2.0 the guy sold it to me tells me now aftr i buy it gs2 ver 2 cant play dvd-rs just cdr-s has to be on 74 min cds so i say f*** it im going to buy a solder chip and pay
120$ or more but at least i can just pop my backups in and go from there

i'm not sure about the gameshark ver2.0 but the action replay 2.0 does play dvdr backups using nightstalkers method. Look at the boot procedure sticky at the top of this forum and try using the nightstalker method.

i used primo dvd game to image and back to dvd-r on ritek dark pruple dye and they wont boot nor will my ps1 copies and i know they work cause i used them on my ps1 with a boot disc
