View Full Version : reburn a dvdr
after i burn the iso onto a dvdr is it possible to make a simple backup of that dvdr using the pc only or do you have to go through the same process of reading it with the xbox then sending it to the pc through the network

I'm pretty sure you have to copy from your xbox again. Some people say that their copied games can be read in their dvd drive, but I asssume they can because they burned it wrong.
Ya they must be burning them wrong. I cant read any of my back ups with the drive I have in my PC now.
if you create a xiso you can't read the backup on your pc as it emmulates a original game , however if like me you use the DATA BURN method you can read them in your pc and do a straite copy from it without the aid of your xbox, this is one of the reasons that i prefer the data burn method to the xiso/iso method.
all of my 33 backups work perfectley and can be read on my pc

Ok this is very odd. My burner didnt use to read my back ups when I did them the same way as DUDE, but now it does...
Dont know, my PC was all screwy at the time I tried to read a back up, last time.
Hey Dude! I have problems with making some Xbox backups, but reading your post about doing a staright data copy it worked without making an ISO image first. Thanx It had me stumped but Im useing it as we speak WooHoo!!!.
hey luvpump congratulations i had the same problem with iso's but tried the data burn method and it works flawlesley don't know why but it does and that's good enough for me.
