I went to this site and saw a $40US Messiah 2
is this a dream or am i still seeing stars from Looking at Ulala from Space Cahnnel 5

I thought the messiah would work for my v2 ps2 it said only v3 up to v7

It should. Either they are stupid or they are selling a clone that only works for v3-v7.

Magic 3.1 is basically a clone.

I echo that remark. It makes me feel that Divineo are leeches. I get all the tech support requests that Dust doesn't. At least we provide support for our customers.

There are no Messiah 2 clones. Magic 3 has a different boot strategy. The fact that it fits onto an Origachip chip tells you it's origin. Fewer CD/DVD controller lines - different strategy.

Why would their "Messiah 2" only work on v3-v7 then? I'm not second guessing you charlie but a true Messiah 2 is supposed to work on v1-v7.:confused:

Suppose that they are selling genuine Messiah 2s (probably are). Then the answer to your question is: "Because they are idiots who have got their material wrong".

Their photo isn't the Messiah 2 they are selling - they've got that off something I posted or what was posted in PS2Newz based on the pre-launch pieces.

Sure they are selling them cheaper than many. They don't supply any support service.


If they are selling a clone, how did they get the bit stream for the Actel chip? How did they set up the the whole PCB thing in the short time that Messiah 2 has been available?
