I have a creative 6424 cdrw... I like this drive very much, and have done a lot of burning. To backup the newer discs, I need to be able to write with DAO. I have found the actual manufacture of my drive is Richoh and the model should be the 7060. Will the updated firmware for that drive work on my drive, as it seems as if Creative washed their hands of the drive the day they sold it to me three years ago. Ricoh has this identical drive updated to the latest processes and seems to be very successful minus the speed difference of today which I can live with if anyone can tell me that it should be okay to update with the firmware.:confused:
