dvd will play with no chip it needs no wires
so suspect scex connection
Hey Dust.... If I remember correctly form his other posts about this, his PS2 will play PS2 backup dvds BUT will not play PS1 backups........ (I think this is the problem he is having)

yes
power, ground, reset, scex is all that is needed to boot ps1 games
on a messiah
scex is used for ps1 only so this likely to be his problem

The scex wire has more than likely come loose..... Open the PS2 and check to see if it has.....

is scex part of the modchip. If it is either my dad will orr i will take it somewhere
YES..... Take it somewhere......
There is a scex connection on the chip..There is a wire that is soldered to that and is soldered to your PS2.... One of the two ends may have came loose....

Unless you can do it yourself..... That's a good price.....
If you could do it yourself, that would be a bad price...

good i dont want to get ripped off
There is always a possibility of getting ripped off... If you are so concerned about that, then you should not deal with that certain shop....
You should be able to trust the people you are dealing with, and not have to ask that question....
