View Full Version : Sims has caused an error in ~DF394B.TMP. Sims will now close.
Yesterday I decided to make backups of all my PC games. I used cloneCD with clonyxxl. After I finished the first thing I tried was to reinstall the games with the new backup copies just to see what happened. To my surprise the games installed perfectly in to the computer, the problem was when I clicked on the icons from the desktop to start the game. The games seemed to start loading, but then I would get this error on every one of them (Sims has caused an error in ~DF394B.TMP. Sims will now close.) example using The SIMS. Now if I incert an original CD it runs perfectly also with a no-cd patch, but not with the backup copy. Why is that? What should I do?
I am using a PhilipsDVDRW1208.

i think you'll have to enable Hide CD-R Media in the CloneCD Tray every time you want to play from your backup.
no that didn't do it. By the way what does hide cdr media means?

Make sure you have the very latest version of Clone Cd and then enable Hide CD-R Media - this may work as Hide CD-R Media now emulates the protection.
If it doesn't however, you can download a crack for your game from www.gamecopyworld.com This will get rid of the Safedisk protection and you're game will run fine. For more info on the copy protections and how to beat them then read the FAQ in the PC Games section.
The main function of Hide CD-R Media is to get around the ATIP check (search forum for 'ATIP'), but it now also incorporates an emulator.
Games:
Flight Simulator 2002(clonyxxl doesn't find a protection for Disks 2 and 3.)
Combat Flight Sim3
Formula one 2002
Grand Prix4
Nascar Racing2002(onlyone that runs with the copied CD)
IL-2
Strike Fighters(clonyxxl doesn't find a protection.)
The Sims Deluxe
Total Imercion Racing
Rallysport Challenge(clonyxxl doesn't find a protection.)
Operation Flashpoint Cold war
Operation Flashpoint Resistance
Swat3
USAF
Super Hornet F/A-18E
F/A-18 Jane's
They all give me the same exact error.
Thx for the replies.
