I used Clone (latest Version) to backup Mafia, and a couple of others (cant remember what) with my Plex 24/10/40A and found that they worked perfectly well with-out applying any patch or crack, just as long as I left the disk in, I presumed Clone must have copied the safedisk info and so did not need to use any patches, and I've played the games for quite a while, no problems. Then for no reason (I cant think of one anyway) I go to play Mafia and it says I have'nt got the right CD in??????????? I no I can simply get the crack and away I go but that aint the point. Only thing I think I changed at about the same time they stopped working was my VIA 4in1 drivers (they contain an IDE driver) I think this is just coincidence. Does anyone know whats happerned??????????????????????

so if i understand you correctly, you try to play with your backup in your cd-writer ?

then you must enable Hide CD-R Media in the CloneCD tray.

I've seen 'Hide CDR Media' switch in the tray but I dont know what its for. Does this have something to do with the games being able to recognize a copied disk????

Thanks, I just found out what ATIP is, I turn on HIDE CDR MEDIA and the afore mentioned games should work again. Only prob is I put the crack in last night!!!! Never-mind I've learned something today. One more thing could activating that switch cause my Plex not to show the contents of a CD-R, cause sometimes if I eject the drive from the desk-top then put something new in, it comes up as a blank disc???????? If I go to the propeties of the drive I can populate it but Win XP still says its an empty disc?? I've got to restart the PC to look at the new disc!! Is this because Clone Tray thing is resetting at start-up??
