hi can some one answer my question?

i am trying to back up a copy of sims-hp and am using perfect copy and clonecd, so far so good.
however clonecd seems to take along time to read - 30 mins for about 1% of the disc, is this normal

my cdrom is: Compaq DVD Rom LTD122
my writer is : LG CD-RW 8080B
