I've got a Sports Jam (NTSC) .cdi image, and it burns and runs fine, except for the fact it doesn't recognise the pads on a PAL machine. I have found a ppf patch to fix this, but there seems to be a problem.

The ppf patch programs I've found all want .iso files to work with, so I used the cdirip prog to extract the audio and iso files, and when i try to apply the patch i get told it's the wrong size. The only reason I can think for this happening is maybe because the original rip has been repacked with a dummy file.

From here on, I'm stumped, i've tried bootind with action replay even as a last resort, but it doesn't seem to help.

Anyone with any fixes/solutions would be gratefully received

thanks in advance.

Try PAL Patcher, look for 50 Hz code and patch it. It should work fine.

Thanks for the help, but I already got it working. I just ran ppfomatic, and forced it to patch the .cdi image, even though it told me it was the wrong size. It worked perfectly.

What is this PAL patcher though? Do you have a URL ?

PAL Patcher is a program that can make some games work on PAL DCs. It can also convert some 50 Hz games to 60 Hz, and vice versa. It doesn't work on every game, but some games I didn't find any patch for worked using it.
