ticking noise

I can hear a faint regular ticking noise from my v5 messiah, whilst playing fifa 2002. You have to listen close to hear it.

This is noticeable with the original too.

Normal??

Not really sure if the game your playing matters or not..... I have a V1 NTSC PS2 (yeah, the VERY FIRST ones with the shitty lasers) and from the day I bought it, it has always had a very faint click. I notice the click ever so slightly more on DVD based games... BUT like I said its a V1 and the damn thing just WILL NOT DIE..... So as far as is it normal? Mine is...... Although my V1 isn't chipped so it doesn't get the backups (my PAL V5 w/messiah gets that chore) but they both have a very slight click.(you really have to listen for it).

I would say not to worry UNLESS it starts getting louder....
