Are you booting the system with cdrom support?
Its amazing how many people miss this.
Sim
It says something like: Canīt find the file E:\gt3.vol
Copies:0
Yes, I booted it with CDROM

In Dos type
e:
This will change the drive to your dvdrom providing it is the E:
Then type dir
Check that gt3.vol is listed.
The problem may be that by using the boot disk your drive letters have changed and your dvdrom drive is now listed as f:
This happens because the boot disk creates a temporary ram drive and letters it usually d:
Hope this helps you out

Which tutorial are you using?
I used Morganators and it doesn't mention downsampling.
If you want email me the copy you are using and then I can explain it properly to you

I checked my walkthrough and it was an older version.
Kai sent me the copy he was using and it is in the new copy.
Downsampling is basically taking a .pss file and replacing and renaming it with a smaller .pss file
For example if I had a file called movies.pss that was 48mb and another called
cars.pss that was 4mb.
I would delete the movies.pss file, make a copy of cars.pss and rename it movies.pss.
So the movies.pss should now be a 4mb file but will be a valid movie file.
