i have a new chipped psone and it will play a burnt game perfectly, but when i put in an original psx game disk it will not boot. But i can burn that same game and presto it works. it happens with any original. anyone have any help as to why?

sounds like your psx chip is wire up wrong

did you install the chip yourself

yes i installed myself. i use a classic mod not a stealth or anything. i have installed the same chip in others but mine is the only one that behaves like this. not a big problem cause i can play the backup. just wondering cause i can never play an original.

check the green wire(that is the wire that alows you to play originals) on the chip to see if it broke off and also where you soder it to the board.
