View Full Version : need help burning DDR 5th mix
OK, let me set this up for everyone thats come to my rescue:
Just the other night, i downloaded a zip file for DDR 5th mix for psx that contained 3 folders:
DDR_5th.ccd (799 bytes)
DDR_5th.img (439 MB)
DDR_5th.sub (17.9 MB)
I have the following prgrams installed on my comp:
Clonecd
CdrWin
Nero
I have not the slightest idea on what i need to do with these 3 files in order to burn them onto a disk to play on my psx (yeah, it has a mod chip) I dunno if i need to convert the files, get some sort of patch or who knows what else. Anyone who can help me thru this complicated process is greatly apreciated. Arigato!

Use cloneCD to copy the game, but first use clony xxl to detect the protection and set the settings for clone CD, select write to image file then let the game copy when its done remove it from the drive. Oh yea even before this you should download ppf-o-matic version 3, to apply the patch, make sure you download the patch first too. OK , now once you have the patch unzipped and the image file created close clone CD and go to windows explorer and find the image file for the game it should be under windows, then look in the "temp" file the image file should look l;ike this IMAGE.img you need to right click it and rename it to IMAGE.bin then start up ppf-o-matic and load the patch and the renamed image file and click apply once thats done close ppf-o-matic and go back into windows explorer and rename the image file back to IMAGE.img then start clone CD and burn the game...There is some reading between the lines required here but you should be able to figure it out, I realize theese sites aren't too newbie friendly I'll keep an eye out for any posts you put up if you need more help....

How can you possibly say that when you've only been on the forum for less than a week ??? Its not that we all hate newbies - more this forum does not discuss downloading psx games off the net as you agreed when you registered. If you're unsure of what you signed/agreed then I suggest that you re-read the forum rules.

When someone asks a question they want an answer not a link, some of the links are very technical and neglect to go into very much detail...It took me 14 solid hours to figure out wich patch engine to use, and even then it turned out to be a lucky guess... And I was able to see all this my first day registered, so your a senior member what do you want a medal....?
