I have 3 mpeg2 files on my hhd which belong to the same movie Is there a software that can merge them into 1 file. So I can copy to VHS without having gaps between each file.

If you go to www.vcdhelp.com there is a list of options on the left hand side, one of them is called EDIT. That will help you with what you want to do.
