Well I'm new here so please don't throw anything at me, if I ask something wrong.

As i read, the No-Solder-Chip cannot boot CD's with TOC >640 MB, because, the AR2/GS CD has a TOC of 640 MB, right ?

So I wanted to ask, if anyone succeeded to make a boot disc for himself, maybe the AR2 Disc with dummy files added, to get the TOC greater, or maybe to manipulate the TOC of a AR2 Copy.

Could that work ?

Thanks in advance

if you could burn a copy of the AR2 that would boot without a chip/swap disc, you could burn a game that'd work the sameway too.
you NEED to boot with an ORIGINAL AR2 or region X. which in turn could not boot the AR2 with dummy file, since that has a TOC above 640 MB.

Well, I thought, the AR2 disk can only boot with the dongle (AR2-module), or am I wrong ?
So I thought about to mak a copy from the CD _with_ having the dongle at the hand, perhaps I am totally wrong in this situation, I never tried to boot the CD without the dongle, maybe I should...

then it just says "hardware not detected".
all the dongle is is a "copy protection" and a code memory.
it doesn't just let you boot a cdr copy of the AR2, the ps2 copy protectin is still in place and will not boot it.
