OK, here's the deal.

I have a DC connected to my PC with a crossover cable using a BBA.

I have successfully copied all of the files from the original game disc to my PC. I'm in the process of downsampling the audio and video to fit to a regular disc.

Now, here's the dilemma. I'm not real clear on the next steps and I can't figure out why I can't view the contents of the original ISO images with ISOBuster or WinISO. I can extract everything from them using extract.exe.

Any help with finishing up the work is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What step are you stuck on? Why do you need too look at the files with IsoBuster or WinIso when you already extracted them and you know what files their are? When I rip games I never use Isobuster or Winiso. If you want you can also try CDmage to look at the iso. www.megagames.com

Maybe I'm just reading into things to deeply but I was under the impression that I had to view the contents of the ISO files to determine what kind of game they are, i.e. Katana, CDDA, WinCE.

What ripping method have you been using?

Should I just be able to take my desampled files and follow the Echelon selfboot tutorial and make a usable game rip?

Have you written a guide or have an outline of what you do?

Thanks!

Well you can tell easily what kind of game it is. When you ripped it and their was more then 1 RAW file then its CDDA and now after extracting you should have more then 1 wav file. That would be a CDDA game.

If its a WINCE game then you will find out when using ECHELONS selfboot tutorial because when using binhack and when its done it will say something like "found WINCE" and if its does let me know because Binhack has a bug in it which makes it so you have to open up the file and change something or else it won't boot.

Not sure about Katana though.

So just use the selfboot tutorial with downsampled file and if Binhack gives you a FOUND WINCE message let me know and I will tell you what to do.
