We purchased an original DDR 3rd Mix (Japanese import) from a well-know internet company, as well as the PS-X-Change Version 2 because the company indicated it was needed. We already own a PS2, but I just purchased a used Playstation Model SCPH-7501 because I didn't realize that the PS-X-Change would not work on PS2. My daughter really wants to dance to her favorite "Little Butterfly" song. A used game store clerk in my city won't talk to me because he said PS-X-Change is illegal. He sold me the used Playstation, but wouldn't say whether it would work and didn't know if the Playstation was the "old" version my daughter's friend said she needed. After reading some of the information from this web site, I believe I do have an "old enough" model to get PS-X-Change to work.
Now I've just tried the PS-X-Change with the DDR 3rd Mix and get to the point where it says "Software Terminated Console May Have Been Modified Call..." I am looking for a code for this 3rd Mix, but I only see those for DDR and DDR 2nd Vol.1 & Vol.2.
Does a code exist for DDR 3rd Mix? Does PS-X-Change even work for this 3rd Mix? What will it take to enable my daughter to dance to her one song? If I need to throw out the PS-X-Change and go another route, please let me know. This was a promised gift, but I didn't realize it would be so difficult.
