I have searched these forums, but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem, so I've decided to post my own question.
Before I start I would like to point out that YES I do have an external mod-chip fitted to my PSX Its an old version one). Its called a Game Hunter Lite, and fits into the back of my PSX.
I have backed up a number of my games, and patched the most of the NTSC ones fine, but I am having a problem with a few.
Destruction Derby Raw will still only run in B&W (NTSC). Sheep Dog and Wolf run in colour on the one I patched, but gets stuck about 1/4 of the way through loading (when the main titles come up), although the unpatched version runs fine, but in B&W. Time Crisis 2 doesn't seem to run at all, whether patched or not.
Someone suggested I use a boot disc on these games to convert them in PAL. I downloaded and burnt Import Player 2, but this doesn't seem to work for any of the games I have tried. Destruction Derby raw runs in B&W still, but freezes before it gets to the main menu. Sheep Dog and Wolf runs in colour fine until the point where my patched version freezes, then converts back to B&W (so I assume NTSC).
So, after all that background info, my questions are:
1) Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Have I just picked particularly hard games to backup?
2) Does anyone know of somewhere I could get another Boot CD to try. I got my current one from megagames.com, and while they have a number on their site, they are actually all the same (trust me, I've burnt three thinking the were different, only to find they weren't)
Phew, now that all I think. Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Adrian
