I have a quick question, does cloneCD really take out the anti-mod chip protection??? I have a Sony CDRW 160E and I tried copying Dance Dance Revolution Best Hits and it still didn't take out the anti-mod chip protection. Any suggestions?

Well not being a clone user i'm not 100% certain but i will try my best to answere this for you.

I believe that clone does'nt atually remove the anti mod protection but due to its unique reading nature it actualy copies it therefor games that do have "anti mod protection" will still need to be patched. Games that have standard copy protection wont need a patch because clone copies the it straight accross onto the backup.

There is a list on www.megagames.com of all the PSX titles that hace "anti mod protection", and you will need to use CDRWin for those that do.

Hope this goes someway to explaining your trouble.

Anti mod protection is written into the game.
CloneCD copies this perfectly.
Therefore the copy does exactly what the original does - detect the modchip and refuse to work.
Copy these games with CDRWin and apply appropriate anti mod patch.

Thanks, but i can't find a patch for either Dance Dance Revolution Best Hits, or Dance Dance Revolution Disney Rave. Anybody know where I could find these patches, or anybody know how to create patches for these games???
