View Full Version : How to get IP.bin from an iso?
I want to put a custom logo on my DC games but I cant figure out how to get the ip.bin file from the iso.. Can anyone help me out please?
In most backup iso files, the IP.BIN has not been added to the data contents of the file. It is instead in the boot record of the disc.
Occasionally you'll find some games that the IP.BIN was left in the root directory of the disc, even though it's a self-boot disc. This is the exception rather than the norm. When you follow the Echelon instructions on creating a bootable disc, it specifically tells you to *NOT* copy the IP.BIN back to the directory you're using to create the disc. It's only injected into the boot sector of the image just before it's burned to the disc.
I must implore you NOT to start releasing any DC games with your custom logo on them.
People (including myself) tend to be a little upset about this.
Of course it doesn't take away from the game, but it DOES take away from the feeling of having the game unadulterated.
Thanks.
