I'v had this Backpack CD bruner for about half a year or less, This CDRW plugs into the back of my printer port, now my question is, is this a good cd burner for making backup etc.. I mean it works fine for anything else, files music copy disksblah blah.. or will i seriously need to buy something else?

Welcome to the board :o)

Normally it should work fine ,get an iso
and try it ...if discjuggler (*.cdi) isnt working
you can convert the iso to a "nero" file
with cdi2nero ..mabe you should burn with
a 2 times speed using the serial port ,...
and use good blanks ,...i use verbatim
phillips gives me only coasters ,(blue ones...
cover is blue ..)
also check that the image is 100% ok ...
if you download from the net ,check the sfv file
that every file is ok ,they should normally
have a size of 20 megs each ..except of the last one ...(rar),...if you want to rip your originals
you will find a lot of tips here in the board ,..
how to do that ,...
i mean ..if you are able to copy pc games ,and data it should work as good with the dc

:o)

i've had one for two years and have burned dc psx and ps 2 with no problem at all!! the software that comes with it clashes with nero tho..mike
